Meaningful change happens when communities come together

Throughout the year, we host a variety of events designed to connect and celebrate community — from workshops to awareness campaigns, and festive gatherings. Each event is an opportunity to deepen your understanding of the issues we champion, build lasting relationships, and create a strong community.

We invite you to explore what’s coming up, mark your calendars, and get involved. Stay informed on all things Southeast Advocates — follow us on social media for the latest event announcements, updates, and community highlights.

Anti-Racism

March 21st

Recognized globally as the International Day for the Elimination of Racial Discrimination. Initiatives planned during the month reflect a focus on anti-racism education, inclusion, and community collaboration.

Activities:

  • Flag Raising: Southeast Advocates proudly raised a flag at both Weyburn and Estevan City Hall to mark the International Day for the Elimination of Racial Discrimination. The flags designed by local youth, have a simple but strong message that We Stand Against Racism.

  • Art Projects: Each year we create a collaborative art project displaying the different cultures that make up our communities.
